Hey everybody, save me the hassle of deciding who to draw this week by just hitting the ASK BUTTON and telling me. Any Disney character: movies, TV, parks, whatever.
149. Sam The Eagle
The America Sings one, not the one you’re thinking about.
148. Captain Rex
One of my favorite childhood memories is going on Star Tours in… oh, let’s say 1992-ish. We’d gone on it several times already, but we went one last time right before the park closed, and seated right behind us were about 6 or 7 college-aged guys. (In hindsight, they were probably cast members.) They had, as a group, created an extra layer to the ride where they all, in unison, reacted with extreme terror to every single thing that “went wrong” on the ride. ie:
Rex: “Don’t worry, this is my first flight too!”
Them: “WHAT?! YOUR FIRST RIDE?! OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!”
Sixth grade me thought it was the funniest thing ever. I swear, if Disney knew what they had on their hands, they could have easily packaged that as its own separate attraction.
147. Chewbacca
We accidentally went to Disney World last year during Star Wars Weekends and the grand opening of the refurbished Star Tours II 3D, and it really did a lot to remind me of why I liked Star Wars so much as a kid and kind of turned me back around on the franchise.
If we’d have gone this year, probably not so much.
145. Beaker
mee mee mee mee mee
Hey. Hey, Disney. Free idea.
Remember that time you traded Al Michaels for Oswald the Lucky Rabbit?
Why don’t you trade the theme park rights for Avatar to Universal Studios for the Marvel theme park rights? That big, empty New York area at Hollywood Studios is SCREAMING for Stark Tower sometime this decade. And Universal can always use another franchise that’s going to look super-dated in five years.
144. Totoro
Pretty sneaky, Pixar, putting Totoro in Toy Story 3. Making all of us nerds like Bonnie instantly. Clever.
Speaking of, John Lasseter, if anyone can get us a World of Ghibli dark ride (or at the very least a big ol’ walkaround Totoro) for the Japan Pavilion in EPCOT, you’re the one that can do it. Get on it!
143. Lizard Wizard
Fighting the urge to just draw Small Fry fun meal toys for the rest of the month.
142. Peas In A Pod
“I told you kids! Stay out of my butt!”
